Sunday Evening Skincare

I haven’t written a dedicated skincare post in forever. A combination of auto-immune illnesses and the medications used to treat them meant my skin went haywire a couple of years ago. I’ve been trying to get it on an even keel ever since.

Nip + Fab Kale Fix Clay Mask Review

Nip + Fab Kale Fix Clay Mask, €14.95 for 50ml. No press samples included. No affiliate links used. You can read my full disclosure policy here.

I love kale, but find the current obsession with it hilarious. Contrary to what the wellness movement would have you think, kale isn’t a recent discovery. Like most other vegetables it has been around for years.

Packed full of Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin K, Vitamin B6, folate and magnesium, to name just a few nutrients, it’s easy to see why people put it in smoothies. I prefer to eat it. It has been a regular part of my diet since I was a child.

But how do I feel about putting it on my skin?

La Roche-Posay Rosaliac AR Intense Review

La Roche-Posay Rosaliac AR Intense Serum, €22.99 for 40ml. No press samples included. You can read my full disclosure policy here.

The launch of the La Roche-Posay Rosaliac line in 2011 coincided with my Rosacea diagnosis. In a previous incarnation of the this blog I reviewed three products from the range complete with horribly blurry photographs that even then I shouldn’t have thought acceptable to share. Five years later and the Rosaliac AR Intense still has a place in my skincare routine, so I thought it time to give it a proper review.

Trilogy Rosehip Oil Review

Trilogy Rosehip Oil (20ml), €19.95. Trilogy Rosehip Oil (45ml), €34.95. No press samples included.

When I first started blogging Trilogy Rosehip Oil was my go-to facial oil. In a previous incarnation of this blog I even said it was a product I could never be without.

My skincare routine has changed a lot since 2011 and Trilogy Rosehip Oil fell out of favour as I explored other brands. But when my skin was feeling the effects of the cold winter months I decided to repurchase the Trilogy Rosehip Oil to see how it held up.

Waxperts Wonder Pads Review

Waxperts Wonder Pads (40s), €7.95. No press samples included.

Waxperts Wonder Pads were created to treat ingrown hairs, but they quickly made a name for themselves as a multi-purpose product. They help reduce blemishes, beard/stubble spots and Keratois Pilaris (bumps on the upper arm).

Ingrown hairs aren’t something I suffer from and what I spent years thinking was Keratois Pilaris turned out to be a symptom of a grass allergy, so the Waxperts Wonder Pads are firmly a spot treatment for me.
