Review: Soap and Glory The Fab Pore Hot Cloth Cleanser

What Soap & Glory have to say:
‘3 in 1 Concentrated Deep Purifying Formula with Panthenol, sweet almond, orange and lavender oils.’
Clean over backwards (Instructions):
‘Squeeze out a generous splodge of The Fab Pore Hot Cloth Cleanser, divide it between the pads of your fingers and then massage onto your face and neck for at least 60 seconds (concentrate most on your nose, chin and other clog-prone spots.) Leave on for another minute (if you’re too ‘type A’ to wait fill the time by flossing,) then press it all off with a warm, wet muslin cloth.

When using The Fab Pore Hot Cloth Cleanser to remove mascara, follow with meticulous rinsing. The cleansing cream is infused with a blend of essential oils which (while amazing for most) may cause irritation on extremely sensitive skins.’
Ingredients:
‘Linalool, Synthetic Beeswax, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Glycerin, Cetearyl Alcohol, Cetyl Esters, Sorbitan Stearate, Polysorbate 60, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Phenoxyethanol, Aqua (Water), Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavander) Flower Oil, Caprylyl Glycol, Methylparaben, Citrus Aurantium (Bitter Orange) Leaf Oil, Pelargonium Graveolens Flower Oil, Salvia Sclarea (Clary) Oil, Pathenol, Disodium EDTA.’
What I have to say:
Firstly, I absolutely love the smell of this product, it’s a nice mix of all the essential oils.
It removes all traces of my make up and despite the warning it, surprisingly, doesn’t affect my sensitive eyes at all. Now I must say that I do rinse really well and then sweep over some of my La Roche Posay eye make up remover just to be on the safe side.
As is the norm with my skin I did get a slight outbreak around my forehead when I first used this but after two days this settled down and my skin has never felt softer directly after cleansing. After a week of use my skin not only felt softer but it looked brighter too.
Okay so the directions simply say to use a splodge of this, without actually saying how much that is, which is a bit annoying but I find that a €2 size dollop is enough to remove everyday make up with no trouble.
The muslin cloth that comes with it is a nice big size but I found it a bit flimsy so quickly switched to using an Eve Lom cloth.
I bought this when it was offer in Boots for €8.99 for 100ml, which if I remember correctly was a third off the normal price. I’d have no qualms about buying this again because it really is a great cleanser and Soap & Glory is regularly on offer in Boots making it an added incentive to always have one of these on go.
