Questioning things is good, even when it means questioning yourself, especially when it involves questioning yourself.
Sexuality can be fluid. Yours changing doesn’t mean you were ever lying, to others or to yourself. You were you. You were the you of those moments. You are you.
Your queerness is not dependent on the gender of the person you are sleeping with. You are you.
Internalised misogyny, internalised biphobia and internalised stigma will eat away at you, if you let them. Don’t let them. Expect to be called out. Apologise when you’re wrong. Listen. Learn. Grow.
Understanding your sexual desires is not shameful. Do not let anyone tell you otherwise. Walk away from people who wish to impose their moral outrage on your sexual exploration.
Love will find you when you least expect it. Be open to it.
It’s OK to be a mass of contradictions, that’s how you figure out who you are.
Do the work. Never stop learning.
Fear is not the enemy, sometimes it’s necessary. Sometimes fear helps get things done.
You cannot change things after they’ve happened. You can try your best to fix them, but they may not be fixable. Letting go is for the best.
Be kind. It costs nothing, but can achieve so much. Kindness ≠ being a pushover.
Use your voice. It matters and it’s necessary.
Some people are only meant to be in your life for a short time. Take what they taught you about yourself and move forward. Leave the ghosts where they belong.
Time and patience work wonders for most things. Remember this.
You are not your illnesses. You never have been.
Sleep, sleep, sleep. You can’t function, if you can’t sleep.
Liking you, really liking yourself, is much more important than being likeable to others. You won’t be to everyone’s taste, so you better be true to yourself.
Be kind to yourself, always, you’re doing the best you can.
Asking for help is not a sign of weakness. Sometimes it is the bravest thing you can do.
Keep showing up. Keep doing the work. You can and will get through it.
