Love is a Plague over on It Only Encourages Them. Cynical? Yes! But worth a read anyway.

This Week I’ve Been Reading #1

Here’s a round up of blog posts (and things) that have caught my attention this week.

There are two blogs in particular that I look forward to checking out every Monday, they are Rant, with Occasional Music and CherrySue Doin’ the Do and as usual I wasn’t disappointed.

Derek treats us to his take on Bowie’s Life on Mars in his New Music Monday post.

CherrySue banishes the start-of-week blues by picking five good things that have happened the previous week for her Monday’s Moments post. There’s always something here that’ll put a smile on your face.

Over on The 5050 GroupPaul Bowler explains why he supports Gender Quotas. My own instincts tell me that gender quotas are wrong but the more I think about it the more I find myself accepting that they really are the only way to bring about that kind of change.

Tuesday saw Dylan Haskins, an Independent candidate for Dublin South East in last year’s general election, announce that he was donating the €10,00 surplus from his campaign to ten charities and campaigns. A brilliant idea, I think you’ll agree, round of applause for Mr Haskins.

Wednesday was the day I fell in love with make up all over again, thanks to Karen over at Lovely Girlie Bits. Just look at the gorgeousness of this Tom Ford Palette.

It Only Encourages Them takes a different turn with the inclusion of the poem Complicated Pleasures by Billy Ramsell. Go read it immediately, beautiful really isn’t a good enough word to describe it.

Thursday saw Chantelle show off her new runners. As someone who loves running I can understand her excitement.

If your phone, iPod or other gadget has had an accident involving water then Kat and Rachelle over at Dolly Rouge might be able to help with their tips on rescuing water logged gadgets.

Over on irunablog the topic is being sad and how it’s sometimes easier than being happy. Something I, for one, can relate too. Oh and there’s a pretty cool song choice in this post too.

Friday saw Sarah from Adoreabubbles experiment with bright eyeshadow and bold lipstick, here’s the look she came up with it.
